Approach Lights appear only within two miles of runways

Landing on the south complex of KLAX, I noticed the approach lights appear only on short final. Is there a change I can implement that would cuase these lights to appear much sooner, lets say 10 miles or more?Thanks,

Is it only approach lights or planes at the gates as well?

Are you running nvidia Inspector? Some of the AA settings with that program make taxiway/runway/app lights appear in chunks, and only when close to the airport.

I am using Nvidia Inspector with Nick's settings and it is only the appraoch lights that I have noticed appearing only when very close.Knowing this, any suggestions?
