B747 problems.

Featured Replies

If I recall i posted this issue before. Here I am trying to fly the Virgin 747-400 and once I have set the fuel, airport origin, time, weather and click on 'fly now' and once everything has loaded and I'm in the cockpit, the minute I click for the outside view of the plane, the whole plane bounces a few times while standing still and the nose wheel collapses. I haven't even gotten the chance to throttle up and its stuttering and bouncing up and down on the runway and the nosewheel just sinks down. I reloaded the flight several times only to have it happen again and again. What's the damn problem here because this is so annoying. It happens with just about every 747 I have on my system, not with any other plane. I just cannot get a 747 off the ground without it 'crashing' before it even gets moving.

HI.It happens with a lot of planes, some more, some less. I don't think a consensus has ever been reached but it's certainly bad code somewhere. Try searching this forum for 'bouncing' and you'll be up to speed.Suggestions have included faulty brakes, bad contact points, floating airport backgrounds, incorrect MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL settings et c. et c. and the jury's still debating... There's definitely a bad bit of code somewhere.Regards,D
