July 19, 201114 yr Hi all,I currently use WOAI for FS2004. However, the traffic seems a bit sparse and i've noted most major airlines haven't been updated for a couple of years.Whats the best program to use that is up to date and accurate? I don't mind paying if it's good.Thanks.
July 19, 201114 yr I would try Ulitmate Traffic, which is based on real time tables. They also have a very helpful forum that will help you with any issues. The only thing is, is that if you currently have WOAI packages you may have to delete them as there will be a fair amount of duplication. If you are up for it, why not try compiling your own flight plans and then adding aircraft which can be found in the File Library. ? It is good fun and not that hard to do. Good Luck. July 19, 201114 yr Author Hi Tristan, thanks for your reply...I am just at the moment trying to install some more WOAI packages country by country. I couldn't find my old WOAI installer so i've downloaded a fresh one and am installing everything as new. Will I have duplicates as I didn't delete the old WOAI packages? Or will it overwrite these automatically?Thank you.
July 19, 201114 yr I have UT2007. I haven't noticed any updates and now when I go to check it requests a new key. I don't know what the latest update is but when my subscription was good there weree few. Like WOAI many were user contributions. UT was always very weak on cargo but I found some separate UPS and FedEx separate downloads. I don't know if subscriptions are available as UT2007 is an end of life product. If it can use the FSX UT2 schedules then maybe. That being said I find sufficient word wide traffic, though not current, to give most of my airports a reasonable traffic ambiance.WOAI is a freeware integration service aggregating what freeware schedules and AI have been made available. They have several model/paint cersions from AIA, PAI, FSP, MRAI and others. I'm impressed with their inventory for GA, Passenger and Cargo Services, and military. I noticed that they have updated Delta with paints and schedules to take care of the take-over of Northwest Airlines. I also see fairly recent schedules. On their all-schedules page sort by date by clicking the column header and also keep up with their home page and news page. I may if I can dedicate the time move to their packages.I see frequent WOAI updates on flightsim.com, probably the same ones as in the WOAI table.http://www.world-of-ai.com/allpackages.php and click the release date column header twice to sort present to past.A look today shows many schedules updated in the last two years. It typically takes these volunteers about six months to set up a schedule. Some facilities had automatic utilities for the volunteers to grab an airline's .pdf timetable and parse it into an AI schedule. Most of those .pdf timetables were of a standard format. Most airline web sites no longer provide timetables but require you to pick departure and destination cities possibly from a pop-up on their route map display. That's a lot of work for volunteers. most cargo lines do not publish schedules for security reasons so hats off to those that work with them.UT2007 (and its predecessor) installed AFCADs supplied in an agreement with Project AI. PAI updated the default parking adding mostly parking codes and maybe a few parking spaces. One had to be careful to inhibit these afcads when using a payware or freeware add-on airport scenery to avoid conflict. You can exclude in UT2007 airlines you add in WOAI being careful not to duplicate schedules.Real world quite a few smaller airlines have been absorbed or outright failed.I have not tried WOAI yet but I'm impressed with the versatility of their installer. I think but I'm not sure it can report schedules - I have to explore further.
