After installing an updated eSellerate installer, FSX now crashes after the splash screen.

Hi Everyone I haven't played FSX in a couple of months, and today I decided to play. I'v just installed a couple of repaints by Alex Farmer from avsim, and when I select the desired plane in FSX, it brings up a box asking for an activation code? If I enter my license or order number or anything else it just comes up with an error code (ERROR:FlxActcommonRepairLocalTrustedStorage - (50044,71013,1) It should be noted that my PC (Windows 7) now brings up a box asking permission to run FSX by Dovetail Games, so I think my base game has been updated via Steam. (While booting up it says that the eSellerate engine isn't found) Please I could I have some assistance? Luke

Great, thank you everyone for the replies, the WOAI fix has sorted it. I certainly will stay away from ###ai. It seems very unfair to people who have given their time for free for then someone else to claim it as they're own. Thank you everyone.

Hi folks To cut a long story short airlines such as Ryanair and Jet2 in the UK are the default dalaedus (sp) paint. How can I change these to the proper liveries? Is it an easy process? Also how would I update schedules? Many thanks!

Hiya folks After inputting everything into the FMC, taxiing and then taking off, I cannot seem to get the VNAV button to engage. All the altitudes and speeds are present on the LEGS page of the FMC so I don't understand it :huh:

Hi everyone, I'm not sure if this has been reported before, I can't find anything previous so here goes... Does anyone have problems with MA Amsterdam having flickering ground textures at the airport, specifically the taxiways and runways? I know AMS is at an odd altitude, does the scenery level need raising a foot or so to ride over the default scenery? Many thanks

Thanks Michael, so if I plan a flight with SimBrief, can this be loaded into Vox ATC and will it be fully compliant? As for traffic... how does it compile traffic patterns, does it use real world timetables or is it just random? I think I use Traffic X or Traffic 360, Thanks again

Hi everyone I have now mastered how to fly the Airbus X, I can choose SIDS/STARS and fly everything great. However, I am missing ATC, and that's a big chunk of realism. I'm looking to purchase Vox ATC, I guess there's no button control option? How steep is the learning curve, having never dabbled with VATSIM I have no idea on how to reply to ATC properly. Is there some sort of template or guide book? It seems really daunting to a casual simmer like me but I strive for realism so hopefully you guys can guide me in the right direction. Thanks Luke

Thanks guys, luckily I have a seperate throttle and joystick so it's a bit easier. I have found I can land pretty well if I disengage the autopilot once I enter the glideslope/localiser area. I keep the autothrottle on to keep a steady speed as I descend and line up by hand, I set engines to idle as I cross the threshold and my plane brings itself down nicely as I flare and hit the centerline . I guess what I was doing wrong was trying to take control in the very final moment of the flight. As a result of flying Airbus I thought that reducing throttle to idle would disengage the autothrottle but clearly it doesn't. No wonder I was floating. I'm gonna keep practising flying manual circuits. With Ryanair, for instance, how many of their landings will be "fully manual"? Thanks

Hi all, I can fly the PMDG 737NGX fine. My only shortcoming is that I have to have an ILS CAT III landing or I can't land the plane. For instance if I disengage the autopilot at around 100ft agl, the plane just seems to have way too much lift and I just start gaining altitude, a bit like a feather in the wind!! so to be able to land on the main gear is nearly impossible as I have to pile the nose into the runway to even land the thing! Does anyone know, or can anyone recommend how I can practise these landings and achieve them properly? Thanks.

Hi all, I am using some UK2000 Xtreme scenery and have noticed that Active Sky has "painted" all the grass areas with its concrete texture, so there is no grass in my airports now just concrete! Does anyone know how to solve this? Thank you.

Thank you Mark. They are at the top of the list but the problem persists. Is there a ground texture setting that may get rid of it?

Hi everyone I have installed both Ibiza and Amsterdam Schiphol airport sceneries by Aerosoft installed on my FSX set up. I also have ORBX England installed. I understand really you have to save the flight and deactivate the scenery when leaving England. I never have any problems apart from there being no autogen if I keep it activated in Europe. My problem is that the runway and taxi way textures seem to flicker between the third party textures and the default ones. It's not half as bad however if I am departing from these airports. Is this a basic scenery setting problem? Or do I have to nudge the sceneries to the top of the custom scenery list? Thanks for any input you may have. I'm sorry I haven't replied to some of my previous threads, lifes been a bit hectic at the moment!

Basic ones are included in the FMC and are completely automatic (simulating the FO doing it for you) if you so wish. I've just changed the voice pack to a British one, I forgot to press TO Config before the runway, and had my FO saying "TO config" every 2 minutes throughout the entire flight. I couldn't turn it off :lol: :mad:

Hi all As we all know RCv4 has to have a default FSX flight plan loaded in to it so it knows what you're doing. The problem is the Airbus X Extended has its own version of flight plans, As a kind of medium I am using RouteFinder. Is there any way I can make these routes from routefinder into .pln files? Hi all I have scoured the forum to find a dedicated Airbus X forum but can't find it. Apologies if i've missed it. Is there a way to load a default FSX flight plan into the Airbus X? I use vroute to plan a flight and then load it into Radar Contact. RC needs to know what the plan is before I load up flight sim. Is there any way to do this? Thanks

I'm tempted to go for the Aerosoft Airbus X. I have the PMDG 737NGX obviously but it's a bit too in depth for me. I like to use the FMC for horizontal navigation, and adjust my altitudes manually and manually set up the ILS etc, would this be possible with the Airbus X or are there endless checklists similar to PMDG (not a bad thing may I add, i'm just short of time and patience :lol: ). Hi all The PMDG 737 NGX and FSX have been sitting on my hard drive for one or two years now. I really would like to simulate Ryanair operations from the UK to mainland Europe. Can you guys give me a shopping list of what to buy? things like the best sceneries, ATC and weather, route planners, things that add to the FS experience etc. Your advice is highly appreciated. Hi all, I have just exported a flight plan using vroute Premium. When I try load it into Radar Contact I get the following error message.... "Run Time Error 713 Class Not Registered. You need the following file to be installed on your machine: MSSTDFMT.DLL" I am running FSX on Windows 7. Any ideas? Thank you. Luke Bartey
