No VNAV

Hiya folks

After inputting everything into the FMC, taxiing and then taking off, I cannot seem to get the VNAV button to engage.

All the altitudes and speeds are present on the LEGS page of the FMC so I don't understand it

VNAV won't kick in until a certain height above the ground.  I'd suggest reading the intro manual, which will explain all of the unique quirks.

If everything is setup correctly which you say it is, you should be able to arm VNAV on the ground. When you engage the AP at 400 agl or higher, the VNAV should engage then. If it doesn't engage you have done something wrong.

Best thing would be if you could replicate your problem and post pictures of the CDU, the MCP and the FMA.

With kind regards, Bogdan Misko.
