July 21, 201114 yr Did you get to see her flying-in?No I think she was a little West of here, the booms sounded a little more distant then they usually did but still distinguishable, what was interesting, was once over Florida she seemed to slip off course from the plotted path to the left. Must have been a last minute change in plans. A funny note that had Houston laughing was the commander reported seeing the beaches of the Yucatan outside the window as Atlantis was crossing the Florida Coast near Naples! Now that is embarrassing!!! Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d

Now that is embarrassing!!!I saw that deviation as well and was wondering what they were up to. Missed the part about the Beach Confusion (stepped away for a minute). Now I get to join the Shoulda Woulda Coulda club of space enthusiasts who forever missed out on a launch (or landing)... Oh well, will have to make it up via a visit to one of the museums hosting this lovely aircraft.Cheers,- jahman.
July 21, 201114 yr oh man, what a great mission from start to end!!I wondered about the deviation at the end, nothing was said.also, what was really embarrassing was the guy at the end giving the speech, said I wan to welcome home the crew from STS-134!!! oi !!my question is: what happens now to the rest of people on the space station? Aren't they kind of stuck? Ciao!
July 21, 201114 yr ...my question is: what happens now to the rest of people on the space station? Aren't they kind of stuck? No, there are two Soyuz return vehicles docked at the station right now with capacity for 3 or 4 cosmonauts each, so plus the two Progress supply vehicles means that with the Shuttle the ISS had a grand toal of five spaceships docked at the same time. Seems quite futuristic!Cheers,- jahman.
July 21, 201114 yr oh ok, that makes more sense, so they do have a way home if they need to get down.. Ciao!
