July 21, 201114 yr Hi,I have installed fscaptain (demo) and I'm trying to use it but I can't get it to work.I have these issues:a) I have no fscaptain entry on the menu barb)Whenever I ask for weather fcom tells me that I have fs2004 and I don't have fsuipc even if I have FSX and I have a registered copy of fsuipc.(The fcom seems to think I have fs9)c)fscaptain crashes fsx after a few mins of me clicking on the fcom buttons.d) I installed the fcom gauge in my pmdg 747 using the fcom installer but when I try to remove the gauge, it says removed but it is still showsas installed int he fcom plane liste) I imported a fsbuild flightplan using the admin facility.Fsbuild gets winds for every waypoint (fix, vor, ndb whatever) on the flightplan from ase. Will fscaptain make use of all of them winds or just the departure/arrival ones ? BTWI have downloaded the demo version from the site and installed the 1.2 release candidate on top.I use w7 x64,ase,fspax,efb and latest fsuipc versionAll help welcome,VicP.S.=I'm including a picture.I also tried installing the beta 1.2 update but fcom still reads 01.01.06
July 21, 201114 yr No answers for you Vic. I did the same as you, and then dumped it: too complicated for an old fart like me, I suppose. I'm running Just Flight's "Cargo Pilot" now... simple to use, use it or not - when you want, without all the paperwork and BS that FSC and Air Hauler have. Air Hauler started out as a great idea, and has since mushroomed into a full-fledged almost-commercial-grade Cargo operation. :( i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
July 21, 201114 yr Did you install it in the FSX folder or did you install it in C:/FS9 (the default installation folder). According to the installation instructions, that makes a difference as it tells FCOM whether you are using the FS9 version or the FSX version. I think if you get it installed properly your other "problems" will go away.Best regards,Jim
