Migrating FS9 from XP 32Bit to Windows 7 64Bit

I have scenery for FS9 for the Channel Islands, but I suspect the commercial firms would probably not be interested in creating it.

As nice as this location is I doubt that... There's so many jewels out there an area like this would be right up Aerosoft's alley...

Very nice, thank you!

Can't help you with P3d v.2.2.

I am still no further forward with FS9, being sure it must be some little tweak somewhere!

 After looking over the different pieces of software for FS9 and how they intertwine with each other, i have a ported over XP FS9 working on W7!

Can't say that its perfect yet as there seems to be issues with Squawkbox/FSUIPC/FS9 but points towards the Modules etc, but it is a start.

Thank you again for all the assistance, but for now, the main issue, as per the thread can be stated as RESOLVED! :Praying:

Hello Dillon,

I have narrowed down one of the problems and is directly to do with SSTSIM.

I note from very early forum discussions that you will probably have gone through what I am now finding with the change from XP to W7. It is a matter of the actual order of installation and updates, etc.

Having never had an issue with flying and the use of SSTSIM on XP, I have gone through my archives for all downloads/updates I have used, but feel sure something is missing.

I just need to know the order to reinstall and what they are.

I have the Altitude CD and then installed SU2. I have tried the Flight1 redownload and have used the  key supplied by Andrew Wilson, along with Civa 1.51, etc. However, I have used SSTSIM SP1, but the SSTSIM 103 and SSTSIM 104 it does not like! I am not seeing the ADEU and when I copy accross the Panel CFG for each aircraft and bitmaps the flights do not recognise the INS inputs!!!

Therefore, can you give me a line by line installation to follow?

Regards,

Sauviat

Can someone answer my above question?

Thank you.

I actually haven't tried installing the SSTSIM Concord as I found I don't use that add-on much.  My move from XP allowed me to par down on the things I use versus the things I don't use.  Sorry, I can't give you much help on this one.

Did you have Altitude then the change to SSTSIM, which was the "D" download from Flight1, or a "F" download as the full download from Flight1?

Yes, I started out with Altitudes version then ungraded when they went to SSTsim. The rest of your question I don't understand.

Ok, you purchased in the same way as me with the upgrade from Altitude to SSTSIM, where Flight1 used "D" = Discounted version as the full download was not required, etc.

It is here that I have an issue when reinstalling and this is what I am following;

1/ Install Altitude from CD.

2/ Install the update "SU2".

3/ Install SSTSIM from Flight1 using the wrapper where the Key is used and the code from Flight1.

4/ Install SSTSIM SP1 including Civa v1.5, etc.

From this point I have SSTSIM 103 and SSTSIM 104 where both fail to install!

Question: What are SSTSIM 103 and 104?

Although Civa is installed (I use it on Dave Maltby's VC10 with ADEU) the ADEU in SSTSIM is not showing and the fuel tanks 5a and 7a remain empty and tanks 1 and 4 do not refill.

Off topic, how do I attach a Jpeg on here? Something I want to share with you later today if I can transfer a photo of my view of the harbour here which will be of interest!

Actually for whatever reason the upgrade didn't work for me so I repurchased directly the SSTsim download.  I had the Altitude CD copy.  I didn't have a problem with the full SSTsim installer.  Sometimes with upgrades I don't push the issue if they end up not working, I just repurchase the add-on.  To me it's an extra contribution to the developers for their effort.

I have just completed EGLL-KJFK on Vatsim using ADEU with no problems  !

Whatever the problem, it disappeared, but I went to my old account at www.sstsim.com and looked at some old communications with Andrew Wilson. If it OK now, I must assume it will be alright in the future.

Thanks again.
