July 24, 201114 yr I dont know if i parked this topic right, but i got some questions about the FMC of iFly 737NG!I put my route and activated it, it all done, but how do i know the route now?Like: When i know when to turn left or right to fly directly to my destination :PAnd how do i know when to decrease altidude when im flying to a far destination like EHAM to LIPZ?Sorry for my bad english im not english but dutch.
July 24, 201114 yr To use the FMC correctly needs a lot of study. Does iFly not supply any form of manual to cover at least the basics?Once you've programmed the FMC completely, you should get track and distance to each waypoint, shown on the LEGS page. The track should also be shown on the EHSI/ND. The number of waypoints varies with the range you select.Above 400'agl, you should be able to select LNAV/VNAV on your Mode Control Panel, which, if you have set up correctly, will follow the track programmed and the speed and altitude providing you set the correct height in the ALT window of your MCP.This is not specifically for the iFly 737, I don't use it. But it is based on the B767.You really need to get a manual to learn to use an FMC/CDU (Controller Display Unit) to progress satisfactorally.Colin BEdit: Your English is much better than my Dutch, ( and probably most of the others here).

July 24, 201114 yr On the Navigation Display your route is marked by a magenta line. So as cbbrown said if you want the autopilot to follow the route select the LNAV mode in the MCP. If you want to go through the whole route you can do the following: set the EFIS Mode selector to PLN, select leg page on the FMC and you will be able to go through the route by pressing STEP on the FMC leg page. As far as the Top of Descent point is concerned the FMC gives you the info where the TD point is in the PROG and DES pages. Don't know if all these functions are available in your version of 737 though, as I'm not using it...
