PMDG MD-11 missing center gear

Featured Replies

Hello guys I have a problem and was wondering if someone has a solution, when I start FSX and select the md-11 it initializes and everything is fine but when I try and select a different livery the plane shows up but the centergear is missing and when you change views and go inside the yoke is hard to the left and none of the gauges are there. I have searched high and low and cant find an anwser any suggestions?

Disclaimer: First, I'm not a genius when it comes to FSX things. So I could be wrong here. But I can deposit my two cents. Now, I don't think you can load one type (GE for example) and load the other type. I think it's some limitation in FSX. But there is the trick of loading the default Cessna at the main screen, shutting the Cessna down except the avionics switch and then loading the MD-11. But that could just be for the 747. I don't know. Also, you need to sign your full name when you post. Rules are rules and they are enforced here. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/245586-you-must-sign-your-full-real-name-to-posts-to-use-this-forum-posts-without-names-will-be-deleted/

It looks as though you need to end the FSX session by pressing "Esc" on your keyboard, selecting end flight and then choose a different MD-11. I also have this issue, so it might be normal for the MD-11.

Thanks,

I wouldn't go messing around with the MD inside the sim. Load the aircraft you want from the FSX menu and stick with it or you will probably break something. Switching default aircraft is probably fine but PMDG models are a very different breed because there's so much custom PMDG code running in the background.Use a panel state to get the config you need rather than a default aircraft.

Dan Parkin.
