Hello i have long been away from x-plane for various reasons there seems to be so much new stuff what is really worthwhile knowing and what addons should i download? I want a refresher on wat happend in the x-plane world.

You have missed out on many new and interesting things.X Plane add on quality has grown rapidly in the last year that it now has add ons that would rival most FSX add ons.There are too many products to list, however, you can start by having a look at www.x-aviation.comThey have a study level CRJ-200 with CRJ specific FMC and CRJ specific systems. X-Plane 10 is close to coming out (probably around Christmas).

Everyone raves about the CRJ and it is good, but it is also quite demanding on CPU resources. For an alternative regional airliner (prop), with a beautiful VC (as nice as the CRJ imho), and quite good systems coverage (eg,... full autopilot simulation, pretty good overhead, only the FMS is left behind as it uses the default), take a look at the FlyJSim Dash 8-Q400. My fave addon ever released for X-Plane. :) (I;m not connected in anyway with this aircraft, just love it).
