July 28, 201114 yr HiI'm looking for a HUD to use with any aircraft. Not military though . I will use fs panel studio to put it in the panel.I've tried a couple but none of them i liked and some didn't even work. I even tried to use iFly's HUD but once it was installed it didnt move, it just stayed the same. Does anyone know of a good generic HUD freeware or payware?thanks Lee
July 28, 201114 yr Hello! I remember there is one HUD at the File Library, you just have to search for it at the search egine of the library or you can code your own. This is mine, it is not generic but for a 737 NG. what version of flight Simulator do you have?. Javier.
August 17, 201114 yr Hi Lee! I read your PM. My HUD is not in the File Library even tough searching in the File library I found the jghgsv2.zip file. I looked for HUD only and I found this file. Best Regards Javier

September 24, 201114 yr Hey there! Just look for HUD, is the 3rd or 4th result of the search. The file is by John Gibbs. RegardsJavier
September 24, 201114 yr Hi Lee, my HUD is currently in the beta phase and the doc under review. I guess in about 3 weeks time frame I can publish it. It will be a generic one, so you have to go through configuration process to make it usable for different aircrafts. It is pre-configured for the B737, B747, B767,B777, and A321. Below a pic of the landing screen during a approach with cross wind. Dietmar
September 25, 201114 yr Hi, There is something i don't understand. What about the horizon bar? Or is this the 3 degree glideslope line? The flightpath vector is on it while descending with 900 ft/min.Have a look at the HUD of javfn. Here a pic of the Rockwell Collins HGS, App Mode: Jan Jan "Beatus ille qui procul negotiis..."
September 27, 201114 yr Hi ,I know the Rockwell Collins HGS. It is for the Bombardier CRJ 700 . There are a lot of HUD systems in the field and each has different layouts, screen presentations, and options. I am not developing a one to one Collins HUD for the CRJ 700. The A320 HUD looks for example very much different. So. I am trying to find a compromise which sould work for most of the commecial aircraft. In this regard the HUD will have a number of confic. parameter to adapt it to a specific aircraft model. On the other hand. the gauge is still under development, and changes may done as results of the beta tests. Dietmar
October 14, 201114 yr Dear all, just for your info the HUD gauge is now available at AVSIM. ( file : HUDCA-V1.zip ). BestDietmar
October 14, 201114 yr Dietmar, Cannot test, fs9.Question: must the user configure the HUD so that the 0 degree bar is on the horizon? Jan Jan "Beatus ille qui procul negotiis..."
