TrackIR issues

Featured Replies

I just recently purchased TrackIR 5 and the Trackclip Pro. Anyways, when I use Trackclip pro and I look down and to the left, the "virtual head" also moves lower. When I look down and to the right, it rises for some reason. I've tried everything but can't fix it. It works perfectly with the normal trackclip. Any suggestions?

Have you made sure you have it the right way up? Or try restarting TrackIR, Sometimes mine goes off centre when I open the program but I restart It and Its back in the position It's supposed to be in.

I'm sure it's the right way up and I did try restarting TrackIR.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gobezt0Pjyc Here's a video of the problem. As you can see, my head seems to be rising and lowering when I go right or left respectively.

It looks to me that you don't have the proper alignment between the track clip and the TrackIR receiver. It has to be directly in front of your clip. Not above, below or to the side, but directly in front.I have my 27" monitor set up a little high, so I had to make a special adjustable bracket that comes out and down, to hold my TrackIR receiver so that it would be directly in front of my clip. Also, if your TrackIR is set up upside down, you need to go in the software control panel and set the receiver to 180 degrees.

This device is interesting to use within flight simulators. Just a question , how do you deal with sneezes and coughs ?

Alright thanks a lot. I'll try to fiddle around with the alignment and report back.

Fixed the problem only by putting it on my left side.

I had to chuckle when I read that question - when you sneeze the camera moves accordingly :( I actually sneezed in this video: http://www.flyaoamedia.com/aoa/nicks-737ngx-takeoff/ I edited out the sound afterwards, but it's pretty obvious when it happens. I also apologise for it shortly afterwards!

Yeah. Sneezing translates into the game as if the pilot has a sudden seizure. When I sneeze, the pilot almost flies out of the window. LMAO.gif

I'm glad to see that you are using TrackIR within the videos. It will give some of those who haven't tried this great product, a chance to see it in action.

Joel,I'm glad to see that you have it fixed. With TrackIR, proper alignment makes all the difference in the world. Bob
