Alternate flaps and gear system modelled on NGX?

Featured Replies

The crash of the Caribbean bird made me wondering if PMDG also modelled the alternate extend system for the flaps and for the landinggear. If that's so, with the failure model, are flap-failures and gear failures modelled?I'm not talking about the visualisation of a belly landing or so, just if it can happen one day, selecting gear down and not getting "three green" Nail%20Biting.gifOr maybe a slat failure like with this HV 737-800 during a precautionary landing at LPFR: http://jetphotos.net....php?id=5947863 From inside the cockpit, the pilot saw this:

If the NGX is designed and built by PMDG I am sure they would include ALT flaps and gear.

I'm quite confident they modelled the alternate systems, but are we going to have the need to use them?

If that's your question, then shouldn't the title be "Are flap failures modeled?" I know that's parsing words, but that title may end up driving off those who may have the answer, as they'll just roll their eyes and think *they modeled it in the old ones, why would they not now?* I think that because this failures system is better than all of their previous ones, that it would include flap issues, so, yes?
