August 1, 201114 yr Been running my new computer with OC just fine for weeks and just today experienced SBOD flying the ConcordeX over the Atlantic. Now I did change my video card from Slot #1 to Slot #3 in order to trouble shoot a potential video card issue. Any chance this could be the cause ? After making this hardware change I did not update the drivers or anything. Mark. Mark CYYZ
August 1, 201114 yr Try BlueScreenView http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html What full load Vcore do you have there at 4.9GHz? How did you test for stability?
August 1, 201114 yr What did you use to test your OC?, I myself run prime95, I also let it run for at least 12hrs before declaring a successful OC.
August 1, 201114 yr Author Ran Prime95 but not for 12 hours, maybe a few hours only. My BIOS set up is here:http://forum.avsim.net/topic/337269-bios-settings-examples-displayed/page__view__findpost__p__2006412 Thanks for the info on the checking BSOD info. Will do that. Mark. Mark CYYZ
August 2, 201114 yr I ran 4.5GHz for about two weeks then started getting BSOD's. It's odd that it took so long to start but going back to 40x multi did the trick. Not saying it's your OC, but likely. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
August 4, 201114 yr Author BSOD was caused by an Nvidia driver issue: dxgmms1.sys I am guessing this was likely the result of me moving my video card to a new slot as I test a possible defective video card. Apparently ongoing issues of this type have bee fixed by replacing the video card and possibly by reinstalling the video drivers. Mark. Mark CYYZ
