So, I am sitting in the VC at KBFI and and try to get the NGX running from Cold & Dark. After turning on BATT & STBY PWR I connect Ground Power and start hacking away on the CDU. I enter a flightplan KBFI/KBFI with a VOR and SID/STARS of/to runway 31L. After a few moments the panels/the CDU freeze up, sort of. It is still possible to enter data but it won't show in the bottom line until I switch pages. The mode selector becomes stuck as well (not the switch, but the DU). I can still change the map scale, but I can't switch to another mode (APP/VOR/...etc). The product activated successfully and for a short time everythings works. Anybody with a solution? Thank you very much. P.S. Performance is great. P.P.S I forgot to mention that the DU on the pedestral also doesn't display the ENG or SYS synoptic, once the freeze occurs.

I experienced this same issue.. then restarted FSX and it worked fine.

Alexander, Please give us more details: what exact SID and STAR did you select, did you complete the performance init and if so, what was your weight and what cruise altitude etc.

I selected the NEEDLE SEVEN of 31L and EPHRATA SIX for the STAR onto 31L. The only other waypoint was the CVV VOR. Payload was set to EMPTY via the CDU, and fuel to 1/3. The PERF INIT was completed. Double-derate T/O plus ASSUMED TEMP of 40°C. T/O FLAPS 5. CRZ ALT was 15.000 FT. The problem seems to be affecting other users, as well. I posted more in the other topics concerning this issue and also submitted a ticket by now. Thank you for looking into it!

I am also having a panel freeze. FMC still works but there are a number of issues present. Displays no longer animate and I have no altitude settings in the LEGS page and when I go to input changes in the Aircraft page of the CDU it is blank. Disappears after reload.
