August 5, 201114 yr Commercial Member Yeah, turn off self-shadowing... it is somewhat buggy in FSX as we have learnt during development. The NGX exterior model uses a lot of unqiue techniques to achieve such features we have implemented. An example is the transparent cabin windows, no cookie cutting there which saves a ton on polygons. This is how we are able to offer you a very detailed model without such a drastic hit in FPS. Once you turn off your self-shadowing, you won't miss it - its never worked well in FSX. August 5, 201114 yr Would like to inform - Turning off AC_Self_Shadowing has no effect whatsoever on my rig. NGX stays laggy and 747 stays smooth Tried running as admin too - no change
