Ezdok and external views

Featured Replies

Well it seems I cant take off from EGKK. Every time I try everything stops working in the NGX. Seems okay at other airports though (4 I tried). Anyways I was looking to see how it looks from the outside and when using the Ezdok cameras there is just a big square PMGD box and two doors visible. Using the FSX cameras it seems to look okay though. Anyone else seeing this?

I had some issues yesterday, but I don't know if they were related to the NGX or not. Whenever trying to edit exterior cameras (after pressing 2), it would lock up and I would not be able to turn off the edit or switch views. After a few times, I gave up and just wanted to fly!

Thanks,

You have to run EZdok config .exe again. I had the same issue and was wondering for quite a while why is the external view not working for me, until I realised what the problem was.

I had this issue earlier on today, I have also had this issue with other addon aircraft. You need to do the following to resolve the problem. 1.) go to your FSX directory and navigate to the Airplanes folder in a folder called simobjects.2.)There are 4 folders called PMDG 737-(800NGX / 800NGX WL / 900NGX / 900NGX WL)3.) go into each folder and make each aircraft.cfg NON readonly4.) Launch EZCA Config.exe (Mine is in my start menu under my EZCA folder)5.) Hit the "Configure FSX" button. Once this has completed you can close the program and launch FSX and all should now be visable in the outside world of the NGX. She looks beautiful. Applause.gif Hope this works.Stuart Turbefield

Beautiful. I will give that a try. Thanks for the tip.

Another way of doing this is just to go to the Livery Manager and install a livery in each model. You will get a error that says it is a "Read Only" file for each model, and if you want to change this. Just choose yes. Then you can do the EZCA Config.
