August 6, 201114 yr If you go for the 2500...you won't be able to overclock! go for the 2500k ( same thing for the i7 2600/2600k...I learned it the hard way )Also...iI strongly suggest you go for a good cooler ( I suggest: H50/H60/H70/H80 or Noctua NH-D14...) TomTheTomable
August 6, 201114 yr Author Okay I switched it to the I5-2500K and will get a cooler later on(for now I wont overclock) . I am going to purchase the new 737 NGX first. The total price so far is 706.23$How would this do in FSX with some scenery and the NGX ? Also I should mention this is my first ever build. Keep on flying
August 6, 201114 yr If you are running only the NGX, you shouldn't have problems...I remember when I got the PMDG MD-11 I was running it on a low end computer ( I remember having an intel 2 duo core processor :S ) and had no problems...but be aware, if you plan on buying other add-ons such as REX2.0 ( or any other environment/ground add-on ) you'll have to start thinking about overclocking... August 6, 201114 yr Hey looks like a nice setup. But remember FSX will not use SLI or CrossFire. I just upgraded from a dual core to an Athlon X3 445 with AMD Chipset, running at stock speed I am getting very nice FPS @KLGA and everything is on full.I am just using a few scenery addons and Carenado girls. So your setup should do something better hopefully, but as F*$%^S^&%$#@*X you never know how well it will run. Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
August 6, 201114 yr Author Alright, yeah with the new power supply I bring the price up to 744 $. A little more then I was willing t pay but I guess in the long run it will pay off. Again guys thanks for all the help :) Keep on flying
