It seems the PC was just in one of those moods last night. Doesn't seem to be getting the AppHangB1 error. Does anyone else have a moody PC?

I am thinking it could be a registry problem because of the first uninstall I did of FSX. Hope it can help.

the registry scan brought up over 300 problems, I think this may be the problem. I never had this whn it was at 4.5GHz about a week ago so I can't see that increasing the voltage would mean the apphangB1 becomes a common crash.

Registry clean did not help. I will go back to default clocks and give it a go.It still seems pretty slow but I think once you do it then do it again its quicker, caching i think. Please any fix other than clean install of Windows.

I'm starting to think that a clean install of WIndows/FS is the only solution at this point...

No because Crysis, runs fine. Battlefield, runs fine. Windows is now running fine with it back at 3.3GHz.

ApphangB1 is back. I am thinking that if this is a problem that needs a clean install, I am going to probably pick up the problem again after the install.

I did a clean boot and did not see it and now I have it back to normal without a few items. O & O defrag is no longer up on boot and a few other items. I will go for a fly just to be sure and I have also got it back to 4.5GHz. Still any thoughts on the BEX error.

I think, I may be wrong but I may have killed two birds with the one stone. Did some flying which lasted about 20 mins around Avalon airport and no BEX error and when I exit FSX and right click on desktop there isn't any apphangb1 so maybe, just maybe.

Did some more flying for about another 20 mins and no crash. I got an APPCRASH while exiting FSX but I think it was cos I did something when it was changing to windows 7 aero mode. I usually put it into windows classic but i decided not to. Seems it may be fixed.

Awesome, I was able to get the CPU to 4.6GHz. I will do a quick stress test and then go to 4.7GHz. My goal is to get about 4.7 or 4.8GHz.

So now I have my i5 2500k at 4.7GHz and it is at 1.385V, all sound right. My temps are really good though, highest is 64degrees on core 3 but they hover around high fifties.
