Cold and Dark Setup and the HUD

Featured Replies

I have read through most of the manuals that come with the 737-NGX but have not seen a tutorial or section devoted on how to start the 737-NGX from Cold and Dark Cockpit. Will I need to purchase something from Angle of Attack that goes through the Complete cockpit Setup? Or is it included somewhere in the Manuals and I havent come across it yet? The other Question is will the HUD only work in Virtual Cockpit mode or is there a way to get it to work with the 2d Panel? I have not seen an option yet that brings it up in the 2d panel. If anyone knows how to get it to show up on the 2d panel please let me know how. Thanks....

Normal procedures (What you want to start it up from C&D) are in FCOM1. Starts around page 75 I believe. I'm doing this from memory, and I'm not really a 2D guy, so I might be wrong, but I think you need to move the HUD to the down position in the VC (Not sure if there's another way to do this), and then press the W key in the 2d panel. Might have to press W twice.

Page 209 - Electrical Power Up supplemental, then Page 77 Normal Procedures - that's the cold and dark start.

You press w twice I think and you get a hud in 2d (only the hud I don't know if you can make it the hud and the panel since I don't fly 2d).
