Recommended Posts

first of all, thanks for the ngx! i have now my own 737! crazy! thanks for that! a small question: i have problem with my 2D panel (already posted a topic about it, but no official statement) and sorry if it has asked before but would be nice to make it clear.. is the current 2D panel only for widescreen monitors? cause my 2D looks a bit wired , deformed...isnt there a 4:3 option..or does it come with an update maybe? thanks !

Sebastian,I've replied on this issue several times - yes the 2D panel is for widescreen. We assumed there weren't that many 4:3 CRTs left out there... we're considering a 4:3 version for the SP.

The default in NGX is widescreen ! It can be changed to 4:3 in the CDU. Fred.

I've heard all sorts of things on the forum... It's designed for 16:9...It'll work with 4:3...You need to adjust the panel.cfg file...A 4:3 appropriate adjustment may be coming from PMDG...Just drag the panels...Who flies 2D anyway...Etc. etc. etc... Apparently there is no throttle quadrant panel due to lack of time (*When it's ready, it's ready doesn't apply to that I guess), and a heck of a lot of questions around the 4:3 side of things. Now that there is an update from Tabs above, I guess I'll need to sit on my money for a while longer unless I cave into the VC world. I passed on the JS41 due to VC only, and it seems that with the lack of 4:3, the 737 is effectively also VC only for me. It's not that there are lots of 4:3 CRT's out there... there are just a lot of 4:3 monitors period! CRT and LCD alike. -Greg
