December 27, 200322 yr Hello:I've searched high and low in the forums and can't seem to find any reference to this. Can any one tell me how to adjust the volume of a wave file? I would like to lower the volume of one so that it is not so irritating. I tried removing it, but the aircraft panel or whatever kept hunting for it and caused the sim to stutter. It is only used during the landing phase and the stutter at that point does not help my appoaches. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks maxsdad
December 27, 200322 yr If you happen to have a Creative Labs sound card, look for an application called Creative WaveStudio. It will do this for you.Doug Dawson
December 27, 200322 yr Lacking the right sound card, then use the Windows Sound Recorder. Make a backup of the offending wav file, open it in Sound Recorder, listen to it to get a feel for the current sound level, then click the "Effects" menu and select "Decrease Volume." Each time that you click it, you'll reduce the volume a bit. Keep clicking until you are happy, then save it. I've adjusted the volume on lots of wavs. R-
