August 7, 201114 yr Hello. I love the new layout, thank you, but I can't edit my posts. I receive an "object error" message. I have tried using the full editor with the same result. I am using the Maxthon browser with IE8 as the shell on Windows XP SP3. Any ideas how to correct this issue. Thanks Regards, Kendall 7800X3D/G.B. August 9, 201114 yr Author Let's test this out.Sorry - no go Chase. FWIW, here's the address at the time: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/342550-cannot-edit-posts/#entry2055001It's wierd. When I tried reply again to this topic and said "Sorry, no go....." it was then added to my post "let's test this out." But, when I enter edit mode and click save changes, nothing happens but an Object Error message. Anymore ideas? Thanks.Sure puts pressure on my typing skills..........:) Regards, Kendall 7800X3D/G.B. August 9, 201114 yr Do you have any other browser than Maxthon? Let's see if it's browser specific. August 9, 201114 yr Author Testing with Firefox 5.0 Works here? Yes sir, works just fine. FWIW, my Maxthon is Classic version 1.6.5 build 18 with IE8 shell. (I know I'm backwoods and out of date, but it's the only browser that allows me to truely group my tabs.......the rest have waaay too many useless features.....) Any way to make it work? Thanks for your help Chase. Regards, Kendall 7800X3D/G.B. Aorus 650 Elite V2.0/32GB GSkill Trident 6000-CL30/Nvidia 1080 Ti./Seasonic Focus 1200W PSU.
August 9, 201114 yr Kendall, As you can imagine we just don't have the resources to to assist you with individual tweaking of your browser especially if it's out of date. I can only suggest you research Firefox a little more or different browsers. You should check out the new Firefox, it's very minimalist now a days, they got rid of a lot of the user interface on default settings. I know how comfortable one can get in a browser as I find myself feeling the same way about Firefox. Hi Chase, I figured it was my browser due the lack of others not having this issue and I certainly understand you can folks can't accomodate everybody and every browser. Can you at least tell me why the "object error" is given, specifically, what aspect of the forum code or language Maxthon doesn't seem to support ie: scripting of some sort? Maybe there is a setting I can change and I can try posting in their forum, but I really don't have a clue as to what area to focus. I like Firefox and would switch if I could simply group my tabs like Maxthon Classic. Hopefully someone will come up with an addon that makes it happen. Thanks again for helping..
