August 7, 201114 yr I started up rc4 today as usual to do a flight and now out of the blue its prompting me to register, why did this happen? Anyways I resent my request.
August 7, 201114 yr Any change in your hd partition where RC is mounted such as volume name, etc., so it looks like a different pc will invalidate your current key code. Some disk utilities will do this. Backing up a disk, reformatting, and restoring will do this.

Im not sure what is going on, some weird stuff, I have done nothing of the sort, this is my widefs pc, I have not done anything to it in the last few days and it has been working fine. Just today I sat down to have a flight, every program I try to open, Chrome, ASE, widefs rc4 etc etc I get prompted by windows security center saying the publisher cannot be verified, then I have an option to run the software or not, this has never happened before, I can't open anything without that message. And now rc4 is prompting me to register everytime. I got a message from JD when I applied for my activation code again I guess I filled it out wrong he needed my product id but the product ID was 0, I'm using XP 32, scanned my pc for virus but it seems clean.
August 7, 201114 yr Any Windows update run? I know in the case of secure e-mail that these certificates expire after a period and have to be renewed. At your option make sure all of the programs you mention are marked as safe in the security systems since they scanned as clean. Try it with just RC. Then see if RC runs. Once RC has run, if this fixes it, do another virus scan. I'm not familiar with the Win security essentials since I use XP. If it checks for the signature every time an exe is run and the certificate site is down or link changed that might be a problem. Usually only installers get checked for a certificate. I'd post on a Win forum somewhere or google it to see if anyone else is having a problem.

August 9, 201114 yr Author if you sent a new request, it's been processed. if the product id has changed, then something changed on your machine. doesn't matter, you should have a key by now jd Never did get that key JD but I did resolve the problem and RC4 works again with out having to re install or re register, after installing a Microsoft update, "Trusted Roots Certificates" (something like that) all my exe's are functioning again. Never had this happen before.
August 9, 201114 yr In case you need a new key in the future be sure jdtllc.com is allowed through your pc and ISP spam filters. If you requested a new key for automatic processing you must use your registered e-mail address that you placed the order from. If not, then a manual request with the original ordering information must be sent. In any entry for your product code be sure the '-' is included. Thanks for the heads up on the Microsoft certificate filter update.
