ATR, DASH 8, or B1900 for FS9?

Featured Replies

Maybe defining "GOOD" would help in eliminating any "rude" comments in the future. I took your original post the same way, as I have been looking for a good ATR myself lately and found plenty for FS9 that I thought were "GOOD". Maybe stating that you are looking for a model with realistic, working panel in FS9 would have been more appropriate.BTW anyone got the link to Aerosoft, want to check out those ATRs.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://mysite.verizon.net/res052cd/mybannercva1.jpgCalVirAir International VAwww.calvirair.comCougar Mountain Helicopters & Aviationwww.cgrmtnhelos.com

Point taken. I did my best to adjust my question.Still I see zero point in making such comments. It took more effort to make those "You looked huh?" remarks than it would have to say "Hey did you come across these ones?". Im a real world commercial pilot and I mess around with some of the aircraft I have flown in the past on MSFS. I was looking for an aircraft with as close to an exact primary instrument layout as possible. I have found a number of possibles and so far none of the more promising ones are working. The one at Fanda does look to have much potential, but Im having issues running it (causing FS9 to crash to desktop when it opens). I may be missing a file so Im still working on it.Aerosoft Link:http://www.aerosoft.com/cgi-local/en/ibosh...493167300,01916

You'll find that the high quality, technical panels will be the hardest thing to carry over to FS9 as they had to use workarounds at times, not following the SDK to the letter in many of them for FS2002 and this just screws it all up with the new sim. Hope you get it all worked out and find what you need. Thanks for the link!Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://mysite.verizon.net/res052cd/mybannercva1.jpgCalVirAir International VAwww.calvirair.comCougar Mountain Helicopters & Aviationwww.cgrmtnhelos.com

I'm not sure why the Fanda dash 8 is crashing to the desktop, but I strongly recomend that you post a request for help on Oleksiy's forum (http://forums.fscentre.com/index.php?board=6 - second forum from the bottom). The guys there (including me) will bend over backwards to help you get in the air. I promise that you won't regret it!

Hi,I was not being rude, maybe a little "abrasive" but not rude, it grates a little when you see the same questions over and over, but I guess thats the nature of the forum. If you look at this thread http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...66559&mode=full you will notice that a similar question was asked not less than 10 days ago, I gave a fairly comprehensive list of twin turboprops in here, a search should have revealed this thread. As for me "being on my high horse", its totaly true, if you dont like whats about make your own, we are provided with all of the tools, then you could make something that would be to your satisfaction.I certainly hope you can get the Fanda Dash 8 working as I would be extremely suprised if you didnt like it, also I doubt you would dislike the Aerosoft ATR, I think its a great package.Dan.
