On short final my speed tape reads between 145 to 150 knots, my sim rate is set to normal but looking out the cockpit window the approach speed loks like about 200 to 250 knots. Am I doing something wrong?

On short final my speed tape reads between 145 to 150 knots, my sim rate is set to normal but looking out the cockpit window the approach speed loks like about 200 to 250 knots. Am I doing something wrong?

Check your ZOOM level.

I'm afraid it wasn't a tail wind I loaded fair weather while I'm getting used to the NGX. My zoom levels were set to the recommended 60 that I read in the Introduction Manual.

I don't know if that can play, but same goes for Taxi, I mean at the same GS than say the 747 it looks faster with the 737 but my guess is that it is just the usual optical illusion, because you're closer to the ground for example and what is closer looks faster when you move than what is farther. Not sure of anything, but if the speed is right it must be good. But 150 knots should be at least 200kmh so that's pretty fast.

Press "R" and then a couple of times the "-" till you are happy with the realism ;-)
