General Maintainance

Still with low oil levels. And yes I did save the maintenance before I reloaded.

Weird, when I did the 747 FPS fix thingy, I of course reloaded the plane after the 747, it had topped up my oils, but my hours were still at 227, or something, to next maintenance.

You say hydraulic fluid is low... I think if you have the system pressurized 'A' should be like 71-73% but when you stop you will see this go up. I think your seeing something normal and thinking the system is low without a understanding of hydraulics. If you had low fluid you've low pressure. The fluid is no longer JUST in the tanks anymore but now also it's in the hydraulic lines and systems. Same thing with a cars fluids. If you check your oil with car running it will look low on the dip stick as it in the engine not just to oil pan, same with transmission, you need to check that running to get a true reading. For the oil you should check the oil qty before engine start, then watch when starting for the oil pressure to rise. Like most I think you might need more manual time understanding hydraulic systems of a plane.

My problem is not with the hydraulics. It is with the fact that the only way for me to restore oil levels is to load one of the default panel states, and lose all the time on the plane. I did try loading other aircraft and reloading FSX but still, I have low oil levels.

Well fortunately, I know how the hydraulic system works. I work in a hydraulic repair shop that my family has owned for 16 years... The problem is when you're seeing lower than 71%. Like 60%. Or lower. That means you're low. The percentage is in how much is in the reserve tank. Yes, the level will drop as systems are used. Example, you'll lose quite a bit of a percentage in the Tank A (correct me if I'm wrong) when you raise the gear. It's pumping more fluid into the system thus the reserve tank will be lower. When you lower the gear it will return the fluid back to the A tank. I really get sick of the "read the manual" comments. I understand the reason behind it but this is a community set up to help each other, not just give stupid answers such as "read the manual." The truth is some people are having trouble with the software or would like a basic help answer. Some people don't want to have to go through pages and pages of authentic Boeing documents that were written for the real aircraft (I understand that this amazing plane sims probably 95% of the manual contents.) Not everyone here aspires to be real pilots or even have to fly this plane "by the books." PMDG even claims this plane should suit the most hardcore simmer to even the casual one. If you don't believe me read the tutorial. Also the person who mentioned the "Sys A refill qty" (and B sys) in the failures menu, I think you're mistaken. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is to activate the system telling you to refill the fluid qty, not actually do it. Especially since it is in a list of failures for the hydraulic system.
