FMC Problem

Featured Replies

The altitude/speed entries also won't appear until the IRS has completed its alignment.
I think they missed it. The IRS need to be aligned in order for the CDU to display the speed and altitude settings.

Just experienced this in-flight at FL250. I selected an arrival runway in the FMC and then went to fix the discontinuity in the route. The FMC started acting up from that point. No speeds, no "FMC" menu item, MAP/PLN dial inop and stuck on PLN display. I pressed the PMDG menu to see if there was a failure and the FMC went black. Very odd. Not sure what's going on...both FMCs are basically useless.

I just cleared the NGX dll's from fsx.cfg and installed the hotfix (never had freezes until today). The ONLY thing I changed between yesterday and today was that I installed GEX and did a thorough defrag. Smooth running on climb with repeated flight so far.
