August 10, 201114 yr Library Administrator Has anyone had any winds that seem to be out of whack? 2 approaches recently I have all the sudden encountered winds from 60-70 mph in clear conditions basically on final approach that doesnt seem to jive. No, I have no thunderstorms in the area so it isnt a microburst or straight line winds. Brian A. Neuman Proud simmer since 1982 using the following simulators: Sublogic Flight Simulator 1 and 2. August 10, 201114 yr Its a FSX weather issue. It is a problem with weather updates. For an improved weather experience try this Freeware http://forum.rs-transline.de/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2 But to reduce the sudden wind shift and pressure changes, a licenced version of fsuipc will help.
August 10, 201114 yr Author Library Administrator Thanks for the information. I think I will probably go the FSUIPC route as I trust Mr. Dowson. Brian A. It's one of the best utilities I have purchased for FSX.BTW, I saw your reply the other day. Guess it wasn't CDO, but I did go to Cross JR. and Harelson. I guess I am thinking of someone else, but your name sure range a bell as well as the fact we were both in Tucson. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

I grew up over on the Foothills Side, so we kind of went wherever for High School back in those days. I live over on the Northwest side now, and my kids will attend Cross and CDO, just not Harelson. Maybe we played little league baseball or something cause I am sure I know you from something I did growing up. I doubt there are many Brian Neumans that grew up in the same area as me. Weird that I recognize your name but cant place you. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
