Frustration

Getting back to the original post guys... I have had repeated crashes around KSEA with ORBX and without ORBX installed. (I tried both situations supsecting perhaps the scenery overheads might have contributed). In my case the problem persists, but I am hoping that the service pack release may fix these issues in the near future. Meantime I do not fly the KSEA area with the NGX. All other aircraft appear to be ok flying in this area.I wouldn't mind betting the complexity of the FMC and EFIS information pushes the ram usage into the red marginal area - and I base this only on the way that FSX crashes - a black screen, a long pause then the error. Usually in those circumstances not enough ram or virtuial memory play a part. just a guess so don't attack please.

Educated? You take the words like "so I can't be sure " as meaning I know for sure its the problem? You have issues with PMDG. I saw you educated post on their facebook page. Troll
Trolls stalk people on the internet, TROLL. It's ok, I'm done with you Richie, I know your issues, so I'll cut you some slack. Hey, Welcome to 2011, and FSX! Glad you could finally make it! Maybe upgrading will ease some of your obvious tension! Blue Skies Paddy!

I can also say that i am having trouble with orbx products, I Have all of orbx austrailia and airports and i get CTDS all the time, when i fly on the US eastern seaboard or somewhere not orbx i have no issues, I also own Orbx PNW CRM FJords and NRM and i have had some crash to desktops. I have attempted many flights in all of these areas and i feel strongly that its orbx, I am now trying flights in orbx scenery with other aircraft addons and so far not CTDs! It cant be coincidence(i know i spelled it wrong). Maybe this thread needs a new topic name related to the problem so PMDG can give it some attention. reading between the lines i think we are generally asking too much of our pc's to have them run both ngx and orbyx for whatever reason virtually everyone who is having problems with ctd/s is using another scenery other than the stock fsx one. I would have thought that this would have been covered by the beta testers but it clearly hasnt. IMHO the amount of resources (or whatever) used by the combination of ngx and orbyx/ftx or perhaps another scenery overpowers the system. it also seems that the longer one flies the greater the chance of a ctd so something is slowly building up in the background it isnt the processor being overloaded as i have been watching my cpu monitor like a hawk as well as my gpu monitor . Hopefully someone at pmdg will already be looking into this issue, it would just be nice to know that they are!!!
Hmm..Don't think so. I have a truckload of Oceania scenery loaded, plus four airport scenry packages and everything runs just fine.

I cannot fly into ORBX PNW KSEA without a CTD, but other (non-ORBX) addon airports are fine. I had crashes initially at Aerosoft's EDDF, but have it working now with reduced display and traffic settings. I could probably get it to work with KSEA also by trial and error, but I think I'll just avoid that area for now.
