August 10, 201114 yr Hi, I like the constant work of tweaking FS9 to improve the simulation. I wonder if anyone knows of a way to get the landing lights on AI planes a LOT brighter and visible at greater range? If it´s the old "halo.bmp" then I wont bother, since I don´t want the runway/airport lights to be affected. Any ideas? /J /Johan Windh

August 26, 201114 yr A simple way is to check the Lights section of the plane's aircraft.cfg file. If there are no landing light lines listed there, add them. That will brighten them up a bit. Hope this helps, Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page

Hope this helps, Hi Tom. Would you please be kind enough to provide me / us with a more in depth explanation? I understand the aircraft configuration lights section part of course, but what effect(s) do you recommend? And does;[lights]//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landinglight.x = 5, num, num, num, fx_? operate automatically on AI aircraft? Thank you. Best regards,Mel
August 26, 201114 yr Hi, An example line from one of my AI aircraft: light.6=5, 25.9, 6.8, -0.6, fx_landing The numbers are type, forward/back, left/right, up/down (in feet from the reference point of the plane). These will need to be changed for your given plane. Hope this helps, Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
August 27, 201114 yr Thanks Tom. A big duh, . . . on my part, fx_landing, pretty obvious. Regards,Mel
