August 10, 201114 yr Well, i know that this question is not directly related with NGX but i want to know what you guys are doing to get rid of those sudden wind changes aloft. I enabled DWC in ASE options for this problem. But this time i have the famous S-turns time to time. What is your recommendtions? I have FSUIPC full version and i can set it to compansate for sudden wind changes but ASE recommends to clear all weather options in FSUIPC. August 10, 201114 yr I don't recall what exactly I did, but I've been running ASE with PMDG planes for quite awhile now. Early on, I had the S-Turn problem with DWC, but after going back through the Readme information included with ASE (in the "Help" section) and set things exactly as they specified for PMDG aircraft, the S problem completely disappeared. I haven't had it show up for a number of months now. I'd review your settings. Scott Burns
August 10, 201114 yr I have exactly the same problem, with the default FSX weather engine, what can I do? Arjen Vandervelde
August 10, 201114 yr Author thanks mate, it was my bad for not guessing they should explain what to do in their documentation. i did reduce turbulence effect to 0.5 (in fsx.cfg file under weather part). Since i'd like to see some turbulence effect although not well simulated in fsx, i didn't disable turbulence effect totally. But if the problem continues, i'll try it too. August 10, 201114 yr Turn off all turbulence in FSX and ASE. The turbulence model in FSX is terrible, Make sure you have weather smoothing in FSUIPC and ASE for Temp, Winds and Barometric Pressure. If you search the forum there are specifics posted, George Morris
August 10, 201114 yr open your FSUIPC.ini file search for WeatherReadFactor and change it to 0 your s turns will go away, that is all you have to change WeatherReadFactor=0 Dave

If you search the forum there are specifics posted,OK, thanks for that, but does "Allow FSUIPC to change FS own weather" have to be checked in order for the smoothing to be working? And btw, I only have problems with LNAV, not with VNAV, so I don't see why turbulence should be off...?Thanks in advance,Arjen Vandervelde Arjen Vandervelde
