August 11, 201114 yr Hi anyone else had problems commanding ALT INTV? Have flown the tutorial twice and this clickspot doesnt seem to work? I have had to increase altitude using LVL CHG. Also is there any way of 'disabling' the VC yoke so it is always in the down position? Many thanks for any help :-) Russ Bailey
August 11, 201114 yr That's strange. I'm having no issues. The click spot has been extended somewhat because it's hard to see from the captain's view.
August 11, 201114 yr Are you remembering that you need to press it to clear every alt restriction in the CDU up until your selected MCP altitude? The only problem I've run into with it so far is that if I've already passed an alt restricted waypoint, and am now higher than that restriction through using vnav/vs, I'm unable to then use the intervene function to clear those restrictions and engage vnav. Seems the only way to proceed in vnav is to either wait until your altutude is lower than the FMC calculated waypoint alt, or to manually change the altitude for the current leg in the CDU. Presumably this is just my bad habits, as I have faith that PMDG would have this modelled correctly. i7 2600k @ 5.1Ghz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600Mhz, EVGA GTX 580 @ 950MHz, OCZ Vertex II 240GB, ASUS Xonar DG, Thermaltake Toughpower XT 875W PSU, Antec KÜHLER 620 W/C, Corsair 600T SE White My FS9 Screens - http://fs9screens.blogspot.com/ Callum Richardson
August 11, 201114 yr Hmm it seems to work here. Very convenient to be in VNAV ALT during a temporary ATC climb restriction and just having to press ALT INTV quick to resume climb after having reset MCP altitude. Great stuff, works beautifully.
