August 11, 201114 yr Following the tutorial (and other flights) I can't seem to get the reverse thrust to engage properly. The tutorial says to press and hold F2 as soon as you are fully down, I do this but basically nothing happens. I can sometimes get it when I repeatedly poke, prod and hold the F2 key and then it only deploys when the aircraft has slowed a fair bit anyway and isn't really needed. Is anyone else experiencing this? -- X-Plane, Mac OS, XSB
August 11, 201114 yr Mine is 100% functioning correctly, not really sure what your problem could be sorry. Cheers. Mike Llewellyn
August 11, 201114 yr Throttle must be at idle. I do not know what F2 does (if it controls throttle as well) but make sure your throttle is at idle before trying to engage the rversers. FRED
August 11, 201114 yr are your throttle position all way to zero (hardware one)if yes try to press F1 before to set throttle to idle and then press and hold F2 P.L. TranAMD Ryzen 5800x; 32 GB Ram; EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3; Win10 64 Bit
August 11, 201114 yr This can be result of too sensitive/jerky throttle controller. You're trying to set reverse thrust by F2 ( F2 is 'reduce throttle' key command), but your controller is still sending new inputs to the sim, overriding eveything. Matus Celko
August 11, 201114 yr Author Ah right I'll try that. Manual throttle is definitely set at zero, and I noticed the a/p (on auto-land) disengages the a/t. Should I check and if necc do that manually? Also, does the a/p ned to be off? What other way can reverse thrust be engaged? Is there another key or can one assign one? -- X-Plane, Mac OS, XSB
August 11, 201114 yr A/P don't need to be off only A/T I think, but it was off anyway ...and no button I'm aware off P.L. TranAMD Ryzen 5800x; 32 GB Ram; EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3; Win10 64 Bit
August 11, 201114 yr Author So, I'll try a quick hit of F1 before I hit and hold F2. Thanks guys! -- X-Plane, Mac OS, XSB
August 11, 201114 yr I also takes awhile ...I think it took me 3-4sec before I see the reverse thrust on the eng display, so press and hold as long as you can P.L. TranAMD Ryzen 5800x; 32 GB Ram; EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3; Win10 64 Bit
