August 11, 201114 yr Greetings All, This aircraft simulation really is wonderful. PMDG has done a great job and kudos for their hard work. I have a few items that may or may not be issues. I figured it would be better to ask here first. 1. (SOLVED) Out of memory error: Fixed this, or maybe just prolonged it, by setting UsePools back to 1. I had it set to 0 and got this error every time after about 2 hours. 2. Cold and dark exterior sound: When jumping in the cockpit cold and dark, the exterior view has an equipment running sound. I suspect it is the APU sound, but not sure. Everything appears to be off and no equipment attached. Starting the APU and powering up the A/C then shutting down seems to solve this issue and put the aircraft in a quiet state. 3. Cold and dark pilot's CDU on: When starting cold and dark the pilot's CDU defaults on. Not really a problem since it is to access the FS actions and such, but you cannot turn it off when holding the MENU key for a few seconds as per the manual. Co-pilot's, once turning on, is the same way. To shut-off both, flip the battery switch and standby power switch to on then off. 4. No air noise from the Left recirc fan. Is the left recirculation fan suppose to make air rushing noise similar to the right one? I realized the switch is OFF/AUTO and there are interlocks when these fans run, but I figure it is running when it pulls 2-3 AMPS from the power system. In that case, should it also make a rushing air noise? Does the left recirc fan not reach the flight deck vents and thus no noise? Okay that is all for now. Any suggestions would be helpful. August 11, 201114 yr Hi, To 3, Same thing for me. I wanted to make some screenshots of a cold and dark VC but I wasn't able to get the CDUs off. To 4,In the air: The left recirculation fan oparates if both packs are operating unless either pack switch is in HIGH.On the ground: The left recirculation fan operates unless both pack switches are in HIGH. Best regards John John Rubens
August 11, 201114 yr Author Thanks for the response. For #4, those are some of the interlocks I was talking about. With that logic, I thought I should hear the Left Recirc fan, when on the ground, with both packs in Auto. With both in AUTO, they should be in the low production mode. Thoughts? -Todd
August 12, 201114 yr hit q to turn off sound then turnit back on again fan sounds will go That works for the inside sound, but the stuck APU sound won't go away. Any fixes for this? Connecting ground power, powering up, then back down makes it go away, but that's a bit cumbersome. Chris Hicks
