New SLI FSX Rig

Hey try putting the fps limiter in Nvidia profile. That should make it jump to the 525.

[DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M .0]Anisotropic=1AntiAlias=1Mode=1366x768x32 [DISPLAY.Device.Intel® HD Graphics Family.0]Mode=1024x768x32 If i delete the Intel entry, when I start FSX with the limiter, It just adds it back to the CFG. I just double click the .bat created by the applet. Right click options are the usual. Open, edit, run as admin etc, Nothing about graphics. The nvidia profiles only allows me to add .exe's. The FSX.exe is already got a profile which uses the Nvidia card.

Yes they were both there before. If I try delete the Intel entry, as soon as I start FSX with the limiter, it re-adds it

If they were there then in fsx it should show you the option to select the display. There is also a display.cfg in fsx root, but honestly don't know what it does.

As the picture I posted earlier shows, it only lets me select the intel. There is no option for the nvidia

I'm running a laptop, and bojote recommends using it for improved smoothness so every little bit of performance is needed

Ok but the limiter does not work with everyone. What is the difference in framerates with the limiter and without the limiter under the same scenery and aircraft ?

Ok, start fsx using the nvidia profiler and once in a flight let's say airport KSEA or KLGA (they are heavy on fps) press SHIFT+Z twice , you shall see the Framrate on the top left of your screen , depending on your FSX settings it may be high or low.

Optimus should activate the GT525M when something graphically intensive like FSX starts, maybe when the flight is loaded. If you load a flight and go to display options, does the GT525M show up then?

Oh its like the speedstep stuff. @ DiannaAgron Do try out what dazz has suggested.

Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus

Here you go.
Did you read and execute this.looking to the screen print, there is no batch contentA file in the root of FSX should read (depending on your chosen rootdir) start C:\"Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\"FPS_Limiter.exe /r:D3D9 /f:30 /x:ON /l:OFF "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe look for the filename fsx.exe.limited.bat

Hi all, Optimus recognises FSX and uses GT525M only if I run FSX.exe directly. If I run the.bat from the limiter, it doesnt recognise it. My .bat contains this

start C:\"FSX\"FPS_Limiter.exe /r:D3D9 /f:30 /x:OFF /l:OFF "C:\FSX\fsx.exe

Without the limiter at UK2000 Heathrow Extreme with Aerosoft Airbus X VC I get 16-20FPS. In flight with REX, GEX & UTX in Airbus X VS I get a steady and fairly smooth 26FPS. My problem is when I hit the airports. It's pretty stuttery at EGLL but in flight its smooth as silk with the very occasional stutter Okay, I tried your suggestion Dazz, doesnt work. Just uses intel Graphics and doesnt show up in the nVidia GPU usage box in my taskbar icons
