CTD when switching planes caused by multiple instances of PMDG dlls in fsx.cfg after hotfix

Featured Replies

I deleted the pmdg entries from the "Trusted" section and let them rebuild and I'm no longer getting the CDT.

Hi, thanks for sharing that information! Solved my problems. Ingo

Thansk. But could you please explain in more details how to delete the PMDG entries, where is that trusted section and what are those pmdg entries? :)

Phillip, go to : C:\Users\FSX\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX Then open fsx.cfg in notepad, scroll down to [Trusted] section and delete the two lines that look like this:D:\Flight Simulator X\PMDG\DLLs\PMDG_HUD_interface.dll.htuhookaqczilheziuwctqozlzaakwutlbiqueqc=1D:\Flight Simulator X\GAUGES\PMDG_737NGX.DLL.woketkulnlwraiizullzzuucrikqikoahhbcbwzt=2 Of course, your directories will be different to mine, so.........

Okay thanks Julian. :) I've had quite a break from FSX and my NGX gives me CTD after CTD. I'll try it later :)

No Problem Phillip, forgot to mention, you will have four lines not two like I posted. Hope it cures the CTD's for you.

So I got [Trusted]C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\GAUGES\737-400.DLL.qakcwwzoblcuchkoeeretauolrkazzqtrobaroeo=2C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\PMDG\DLLs\PMDG_HUD_interface.dll.oqubwhkleuobeznewqhcqeukicnanuunolcobaht=1C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\GAUGES\PMDG_737NGX.DLL.aicikcwlbbilaibcunkazehcwacnooatbleiwekl=2C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\GAUGES\PMDG_737NGX_3.DLL.rnkqorzzakatztcoulczietqrhteuzcbklubwluh=2C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\PMDG\DLLs\PMDG_HUD_interface.dll.biwckcltzqhqanutblncoklkriikubqzhkwbrqzh=1C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\GAUGES\PMDG_737NGX.DLL.uekewuknorktbcrnrcirciwownwthhnkounwizqn=2 Could you please mark those I got to delete in bold please? :) It's just that the names doesn't look like those you posted :S

Question: Is that a list of the FULL [trusted] section from your fsx.cfg? The reason I ask, is that there would normally be several other entries for various default aircraft that come with FSX, which I don't see listed. If, for any reason, deleting the NGX entries does not work, you should consider deleting your FSX.CFG entirely, and let the sim rebuild it on the next startup.

Not sure but after installing the Hot-fix and trying your advise I was able toprogram the FMC and complete my very first flight without freeze or lock up. Weird thing happend though on approach to LEBL.I was over the Med sea but I got the terrain mapwarn me that I was about to fly into the surroundingmountains. laugh.png Will try another flight tomorrow.thanks for the advise. Good question. As of now, I just completed a clean install and only had the PMDG dlls listed, but if you have other add ons or modules, they will be listed there too and should not be deleted. My post is specifically to address the duplicated NGX and HUD entries after the hot fix. Even if you do accidentally delete something you shouldn't, FSX will just ask you to re-verify (click ok) it the next time you start the sim.
