NL2000 Night Lighting

Recommended Posts

To hose who have had this amazing package for both FS9 and FSX; is the FSX version supposed to include the fantastic night lighting that was present in the fs9 version? I can't see a module package for it on the download site, and of course have no lighting in sim. Hope it is included as it was one of the most spectacular effects I've ever seen in FS!

I don't think NL-2000 has night lightning.

It doesn't
Yeah too bad I really like NL-2000 and specially the EHWO and EHSE because I use those airports for my flying. One is an AB and the other one Seppe small civilian non-controlled airport. I fly to Netherlands everyday from INDIA Big Grin.gif

Yes you can have nightlighting ! BUT you have to own UTX Europe. The only things you need to do :- put the nL2000v4 folders higher in the scenery library- make sure you have the UTX nightlighting enabled in the uTX setup tool and active in the scenery library The UTX nightlighting consist of 3D road lights placed on top of the ground textures. Therefore they will show up. I use it this way and if you want I can make a screenshot and upload it here. It looks great !

Cheers guys. Gerard, thanks but the the UTX night lighting doesn't even come close to what those guys did in the fs9 version! The whole package was actually better in FS9, with the exception of the FSX water masks. The textures were sharper, and that night lighting was almost too realistic! Either way I'm not complaining, it's still an incredible peice of work in FSX, especially considering that it's freeware. It's really of a better quality than things like GenX VFR UK, which cost me a flippin fortune.

They are coming out with a new version that may have the Night lightning so cross your fingers. And yeah it's an excellent addon and worth it.
