August 17, 201114 yr Wow, I just wanted to take the opportunity to say what a fantastic aircraft this is! I've just started to delve into the world of the more modern airliner, as I've almost exclusively spent most of my time flying A2A's line of fantastic, but older aircraft. So, after a chat with a few fellow simmers I was told the PMDG are rather good, so I headed over to take a look. I noticed the J41 instantly, I've always been a long admirer of the aircraft with its sleek lines and high performance. Plus a few years ago I was lucky enough to spend some time in a full Jetstream simulator that completely blew my mind and was an unforgettable experience. Well, this plane is just fantastic! The amount of detail that this sim offers! I don't think I've yet flown anything that seems to have been this lovingly put together. It flies just as I remember the simulator flying al those years ago, and looks just the same! After a careful read through of the tutorial I was able to start her up and fly the tutorial flight. The one thing that I was really unprepared for was just really how difficult it is to slow this girl down! I came on approach to the runway still near 200 kts! After the inevitable go-around managed a much more sedate and calm approach second time round and a lovely landing. Congratulations PMDG, you've made a star product, I'll definitely be recommending you to all my friends. Regards James W
August 17, 201114 yr I could not agree more! It really is the pilots aircraft (as someone in the forum called it earlier). I like the need of manual inputs at all phases of the flight, and the way the anti ice system is simulated, it always requires the pilot to be one step ahead, adjusting power etc. Simon Larsson Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1 Intel Core i7 CPU 950 @ 3.07Ghz, 6.0 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470
August 20, 201114 yr That's awesome you are enjoying it! It's truly requires a bit more pilot-involvement then other aircraft there and really work you with those procedures! Any questions give us a shout. I think I'm gonna back away from the NGX forum for a bit. Things much simpler here! Patrick Houghton
