August 26, 201114 yr Hi guys and sorry my poor English ! I´ve started a flight with a GW 152000lbs and filled the CRZ/WINDS LSK with the expected (ASE) 35 kts Headwind. When it came the time to select the Approach- Vspeeds/Flaps on the InitRef-Page in the LSK-L1 appears a GW from140000.I went to the FSAction-Fuel and Payload Page (I know, unrealistic) and there I saw a GW of 128000 ! 1. That´s normal cause the NG-FMC isn´t able to calculate the actual GW based from the remaining Fuel (I have to do it myself)?2. It´s a bug ?3. For any reason this GW (in this case 140000) is correct and I let it and just choose the Vref/Flaps ? I know I should read the manual (Iam just to busy) Thank you Pilots and good Flying !
August 26, 201114 yr The NGX payload isnt loaded through the default FSX payload page. It's loaded through the FMC. So NGX will be right, FSX wrong Di Agron Dell XPS 15 L502X | Intel i5-2540m @ 2.60GHz | 4GB DDR3 1333MHz (2x2GB) | nVidia GT525M | Seagate 500GB 7200RPM | 15" 1366x768 | 23" LG 1360x768 | Got a hardware question? August 26, 201114 yr Author Yes, I´ve loaded Fuel and Payload via the CDU-fsactions-menu before Dep.I´ve just compared these two GW´s near to the FAF when I had to choose the Vref/Flaps.Shouldn´t be the same In-Flight ?
August 26, 201114 yr Like I said, the CDU changes the load/fuel, not FSX. It's controlled by the NGX modules, not FSx Di Agron Dell XPS 15 L502X | Intel i5-2540m @ 2.60GHz | 4GB DDR3 1333MHz (2x2GB) | nVidia GT525M | Seagate 500GB 7200RPM | 15" 1366x768 | 23" LG 1360x768 | Got a hardware question? August 26, 201114 yr Christian, if i understand what you are trying to say.. the GW is the ZFW + Fuel remaining, so it will decrease with time of course. It will never be the same GW at Cruise that at FAF. Having said that, the Approach page calculate the VREF based on the actual GW so, the speed will be different in cruise and in FAF. Edit: What i do, instead of whaiting for FAF to se the VREF, is at 80 miles from TOD, go to the PROG page get the estimated fuel at destination, then y add the ZFW and i will have the estimated GW at landing, then i insert this on the GW line in the Approach page and the FMC calculates the VREF based on that weight give me a nice VREF for landing. Hope it helps Matias SorcinelliCHECK MY CHANNEL!!! - http://www.youtube.com/user/masneoquil
August 26, 201114 yr Author I don´t understand what you mean, I don´t set neither the Fuel nor the Payload via the FSX-Menu !Flying towards vor Dest. the Fuel-Burn will reflect as a lower GW in the CDU-FSAction-Fuel-Menu (from where you also load the NGX before DEparture, clearly)I ask for the Difference of the two GW´s ! (NGX-Fsaction-Menu vs. InitRef-Page)
August 26, 201114 yr Yes. But if FSX isn't controlling the fuel and payload, the numbers are obviously going to be different. The NGX is controlling its own weights and fuel outwith FSX. They are separate. Di Agron Dell XPS 15 L502X | Intel i5-2540m @ 2.60GHz | 4GB DDR3 1333MHz (2x2GB) | nVidia GT525M | Seagate 500GB 7200RPM | 15" 1366x768 | 23" LG 1360x768 | Got a hardware question? Maybe some screens will help Matias SorcinelliCHECK MY CHANNEL!!! - http://www.youtube.com/user/masneoquil
August 26, 201114 yr Author Thanks Matias,it´s a good way to add the estimated Fuel on Landing to the ZFW !But I was wondering WHY the two GW´s are NOT the same ? Oh sorry.Maybe the GW at FSACTION-MENU don't update automatically and it only display the weight for the load that you are loading. Maybe some screens will help No, the GW decreases also in the PMDG-FSactions-Fuel-Page as you fly, check it the next time !

Those 2 GW figures are not matching up. ThanksJR JR
August 26, 201114 yr Ahhh. I'm getting you now. Sorry about that. August 27, 201114 yr Just did a quick flight to check this out for myself. Looks like both figures are updating, but at a different rate. In my short flight, KSEA-KGEG, I did not see nearly as large a difference as you did Christian, but it was definitely there. And the GW on the INIT REF page was higher than the one on the PAYLOAD page. Don S.
