September 2, 201114 yr Hi, yes I use v.1.51 for other aircraft. A long time supporter of SSTSIM and Dave Maltby. Probably the aitcraft of my era.. I realised straight away to reduce the path and it all works well now, thank you. September 6, 201114 yr Hi,I am a massive VC10 fan and have DM's brilliant VC10 installed with my own custom panel.Yours looks fantastic and so much better than mine. I am desperate to instal it, but I am not sure I could live with the modern Autopilot system you have installed. Is there anyway of replacing your new Autopilot controls with the old 'simple' autopilot controls, and just use the INS without that horrible Nav Display? Thanks
September 6, 201114 yr Author If I recall, the "modern" autopilot was part of the original installation. You can use either AP though there does appear on occasion to be conflicts. i.e one does one thing the other does another or cancels the other. So, I tend to use either one or the other AP exclusively except during the autoland. As far as the MFD display goes, that was put there to "bring the panel up to date with moden practices" as was also the TCAS. And, for me personally to double check the INS was tracking correctly (normally all three crew would spend their time cross checking the INS). In fact as you may be aware the Royal Air Force use a screen linked to an FMC, However if you don't want it all you need to do is delete the gauge from the cfg. file:-[Window00]gauge113=DM_VC10!MFD, 701,847,132,122remember to renumber the subsequent gauges If you don't want the modern AP at all:-delete:-Window07=Modern Autopilotrenumber subsequent windows delete:- [Window07]Background_color=8,8,8size_mm=355,90window_size_ratio=1.000position=0visible=0ident=181render_3d_window=0window_size= 0.353, 0.115window_pos= 0.648, 0.887 gauge00=Lear_45!Autopilot, 0,0,354,63gauge01=DM_VC10!ICON_SWAP_AUTOPILOT, 25,66,22,22gauge02=DM_VC10!ICON_CLOSE_MODERN_AP, 52,66,22,22gauge03=DM_VC10!Autopilot Hdg Switch2, 62,30,25,21gauge04=DM_VC10!MFD SWITCH, 107,68,17,18gauge05=DM_VC10!ND_CRS, 129,68,23,17gauge06=DM_VC10!ND_WPT, 154,68,23,17gauge07=DM_VC10!ND_AIRPORT, 178,68,23,17gauge08=DM_VC10!ND_VOR, 202,68,23,17gauge09=DM_VC10!ND_NDB, 227,68,23,17gauge10=DM_VC10!RANGE SWITCH, 270,68,17,18gauge11=DM_VC10!XPNDVFR, 66,40,12,12 remember to renumber subsequent windows.Glad you like the panel.
