Damage settings in FSX

Featured Replies

Just a quick question....to make best use of the damage modelling, wear and tear, random failures, etc of the NGX...do we have to have any specific settings set to make the most of the options in the NGX? Will Reynolds

I believe the intro manual suggest having damage settings off, especially engine damage, within FSX. Crash/overstress/collision detection for me is always off, as sometimes "invisible" autogen, taxi signs, etc break my aircraft.

I too have all damage stuff turned off. Too many idiots on vatsim cutting in or crashing into you. Lost many a flight through the selfish actions of others. The failure modelling within the NGX should keep you busy though :)

Funny you should mention that. Last week I did a flight on VATSIM and shortly after vacating the active and stopping to check the ground charts I saw another plane fly right through me, not braking or anything, and then continuing to the apron. Crashes off here too obviously :)
