September 4, 201114 yr This cooler comes with 2 fans which each have a 3 pin socket connector. On my Asus P8Z68-Vpro board there a 2 4pin connectors labeled "CPU fan" and a couple more 3 pin connecters labeled PWR Fan connecters. Since the only match way the pwr fan connecters, I plugged the cpu fan connectors into them. When I did my external setup, everything worked, except I got a CPU fan error. Thoughts? Dan Dan Cole
September 4, 201114 yr Is there a Y-connector that you plug both fans into and then you plug the Y-connector into the CPU fan pins on the MB? This is how my Nochua worked. Mark. Mark CYYZ

Mark.I don't like the idea of two fans on one MOBO header... Since the only match way the pwr fan connecters, I plugged the cpu fan connectors into them. This part is cryptic and makes no sense. Can you explain? ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
September 4, 201114 yr I don't like the idea of two fans on one MOBO header... I don't see why, this is part of the standard setup instructions for the Nochua Nh-14. I am sure they would not include the connector if there was a problem. All it means is that both fans run at the same speed and controlled by the MB's cpu fan controller. Mark. Mark CYYZ
September 4, 201114 yr Typically a fan header can draw 1A / 12W maximum. Some fans may need a molex - 3 pin adapter

I never liked the idea. I've seen many 1 amp limits and very few 3 amp limits. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules

Mark.No there isn't, but that's not the problem--I've got 2 cpu fan connections on the mobo, its just that they;re 4 pin instead of 3 pin.I don't like the idea of two fans on one MOBO header... This part is cryptic and makes no sense. Can you explain?Yeah, I left off a "y". Meant to say they only match the connectors called pwr fan on the mobo, because they have 3 pins instead of 4. Make sure any "auto" fan controls are disabled and set to manual for the headers you are using. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules

Thanks Zach nothing in the manual about using the 3 pin plug in the 4 pin connector, but it worked. Dan Dan Cole
