September 4, 201114 yr Hey everyone....this is my first post and its regarding the TCAS and Transponder on the NGX. i fly online alot and i run squawkbox outside of fsx but on the same computer. I didnt read all of the manual but im assuming, like the old PMDG 737 series...that squawkbox transponder and the NGX transponder are programmed to synch up when i turn the transponder on. However, every time ive flown, i would have to turn each one on individually. Is this a squawkbox issue or an NGX issue? Also i had a free version of FSUIPC installed and the TCAS was working like a charm...it even saved me durning an FNO. I recently just registered my FSUIPC and now no planes show up on my tcas when i flew in a busy event. Does that have somthing to do with FSUIPC and NGX conflicting? How can i resolve both these minor issues....Other then that the plane is a dream...Best plane ever!!!! ThanksBryant
September 4, 201114 yr I never heard that FS transponder changes that of SquawkBox but would be really convenient if it can be change by FS.Also I wish shortcuts for transponder knob added in next SP or Hotfix :) Peter Chang
September 4, 201114 yr Author well when i used to fly the old PMDG 737, i always was able to squawk mode C from the radio panel and it would be synched with squawkbox. this also worked for FS9 and the 747 as well, but now its not...im wondering if im missing somthing
September 8, 201114 yr Author Friday night ops event were a lot of traffic fly into a particular airport that is hosting the event that week.
September 11, 201114 yr Author So can someone help me or like point me in the direction to someone that can help resolve this issue...this is really frustrating now...i tried to reinstall NGX but the problem wasnt resolved.
September 11, 201114 yr I don't think the capability is there at all unfortunately. You'll just have to select Mode C in squawkbox. Patrick Houghton
September 12, 201114 yr It's an issue of FS9 vs FSX. In FS9, aircraft transponders were able to communicate standby/mode C to Squawkbox. In FSX, they are not. Steve Caffey
