737NGX Start-up Problem

Featured Replies

Hi, I have been trying to setup LINDA to work with the PMDG 737NGX but the joystick presses won't register in the aircraft. I have a Saitek Pro Flight Yoke and Throttle and LINDA is set to open when I open FSX (which it does). This is what I am getting in the LINDA console when I try: HID enumerate finished!********* FSUIPC4, Version 4.25 by Pete Dowson *********Reading options from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules\FSUIPC4.ini"User Name="xxx"User Addr="xxx"FSUIPC4 Key is providedWideFS7 Key is providedRunning inside FSX on Windows Vista (SimConnect Acc/SP2 Oct07)Module base=61000000Wind smoothing fix is fully installedDebugStatus=255System time = 00:54:00FLT UNC path = "\\BLAZE-FS\Users\Jib-e\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files\"FS UNC path = "\\BLAZE-FS\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules\linda.exeLogOptions=00000001SimConnect_Open succeeded: waiting to check version okayRunning in "Microsoft Flight Simulator X", Version: 10.0.61472.0 (SimConnect: 10.0.61259.0)Initialising SimConnect data requests nowFSUIPC Menu entry addedC:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\FLIGHTS\OTHER\FLTSIM.FLTC:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\Aircreation_582SL\Aircreation_582SL.AIR --- NEW LOGGING SESSION ----------- C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 737-800NGX WL\B737-800WL.AIRAircraft="PMDG 737-800NGX PMDG House Winglets"System time = 00:55:28, FSX time = 12:34:50 (15:34Z)Advanced Weather Interface EnabledSim stopped: average frame rate for last 34 secs = 28.9 fpsSystem time = 00:56:15, FSX time = 12:35:22 (15:35Z) I'd appreciate any help... really looking forward to getting this working and flying the NGX. Jibran, From your logs I don't see LINDA even started.Do you have the ipcReady.lua file in your FSX/modules folder? What steps did you do to install LINDA?

To install LINDA I simply extracted the files into my FSX Modules folder. ipcReady.lua is there. JIbran

Hi Artem, So thanks for the help... turns out I was using fsuipc version 4.25 instead of 4.7. I upgraded and problem solved! Looks like this was a RTFM problem on my part. Jibran Quraishi

Jibran (or whoever you are), please don't be so dumb and use cracked versions of FSUIPC! Will report that to Pete Dowson and AVSIM.

Hi Gunter (or whoever you are...) That's a huge leap to make and I don't appreciate the sentiment... I purchase my Flight Sim addons and had an un-updated version of FSUIPC due to the age of my install. I haven't touched it in years, first time using LINDA. Realizing my error I have now PAID to update FSUIPC. Additionally I have been a loyal PMDG customer and have PAID to purchase their products. I also have a PAID version of TOPCAT etc... and seeing the value of LINDA as a piece of software would happily PAY to purchase it should the developers go that route... If you were someone I knew and/or respected I might show you the litaney of receipts I have for the hundreds of dollars I have put into FSX and willingly given to all the great FSX developers out there. But I don't know you and by virtue of your post I'm afraid to say you have already fallen into the category of "people I don't respect." I came on this forum to get helpful advice, of which I got a little from Artem and I appreciate that, thank you! As for you, in future please refrain from making accusatory and unfounded posts... it is unhelpful to say the least. Perhaps I should report you to avsim? Jibran

Jibran, the log above is from a cracked version! Nevertheless, I appreciate it very much that you have purchased FSUIPC yesterday finally ... better late then never!happy.png

A certain Mr.Scott distributed his registration keys for others to obtain free use of FSUIPC4 and WideFS7 without paying for Registration. That and the use of those keys by others constitutes a form of Piracy and cannot be tolerated. I am pleased to see that you have, as of yesterday, become a legitimate registered user, probably of necessity if you want more recent features, but nevertheless thank you for that. But please don't accuse others for standing up and pointing out when things are not right when up until now it has been you who was most certainly in the wrong. Pete Dowson
