Saitek Problems: can't have the computer remember a profile

Featured Replies

Hello, I am using a saitek proflight yoke + extra quadran + rudder pedals. Despite following the saitek tutorial on how to assign default SST profiles , I can't get the computer to remember the profile once restarted! The profile window (bottom left, next to the clock) would only appear the first time I load the profile (i.e. following the steps from saitek when first plugging in my controllers). Everything would work until I restart windows 7 Thanks in advance for your help Best Karim PS: sorry didn't see that it's not a hardware forum. is there one on avsim ?

Right click the app and run it as admin. Might help huh.png . might not tongue.png

Thanks for answering one of my threads :) The first thing I tried was making sure the profiler.exe runs admin. Unfortunatly no joy :( Thanks a lot anyway. Regards Karim

Your best bet is to get Pete Dawson's FSUIPC.dll It will enable you to cusomize your Saitek Controls as you wish and you can even go to the point of customizing it individually for each aircraft.

I also use a registered version of FSUIPC and I do not use the Saitek software. With FSUIPC (and perhaps the Saitek software), you should leave your controllers plugged in when not in use - inconvenient but easier than redoing them all the time. If you unplug them, FSX is more likely to get the id's for each button/axis confused. It doesn't actually erase the assignment, it just assigns the wrong function to the wrong button/axis.
