Pushback distance and turn radius

Hello Axel, Yes it's very weird. I already did a post of this issue a month ago, see http://forum.avsim.n...__fromsearch__1 I hope this will be resolved with the coming SP.
Yepp, I saw it but I did not want to reactivate an old post and I intended to show with my screenshots that the movement back is indeed part of a quarter circle. Additionally I wanted to share the dimensions in comparison with the capabilities of the real thing (and for sure of PMDG's model). While looking for the real data I tumbled over an airport planning/layout software (http://www.simtra.com/index.php?pageId=2) where narrow gates and the necessary guiding lines were shown (see picture). For me it would be sufficient to have the radius of the path closer which would open the possibility to push back a couple of meters straight on before turning or (even better) to track the taxiway center lines to the left or right or just backwards. An angel more than 90° would be cool, too. Whistle.gif Regards,Axel

Thanks for your reply, Axel. You might reactivate that old post, it can never hurt for other users who never read older posts. Actually I always fly online on the IVAO network. In their client software (IvAp) there is a p/b function and the user can set the angle to (I think but no sure) 150°, could be even more. As I am flying the MD-11 most of my flights, I never had this issue even using the IvAp p/b function. So I suppose it has something to do with NGX itself. Best regards, PS : sent you a PM.
