September 7, 201114 yr ...The best thermal paste to my knowledge is Artic MX-4.Except for Indigo Xtreme, of course (in which case the heatsink is physically welded to the CPU). Cheers, - jahman.
September 7, 201114 yr I've been tempted to try it myself. Somebody post a report on how goes it if they decide to try it. Not compatable with the H50 and many other popular cooling solutions. http://www.indigo-xt...icationnote.pdf Not 1/10th of a degree, rather almost 4 ºC over Artic Silver 5, and you don't have to be a serious overclocker, just a regular simmer hoping to reach 4.7 - 5.0 GHz on the 2500K or 2600K you bought so you can run FSX without stutters and a decent FSP over say NYC and KJFK. Many in this community fit that categry. Of course if you don't OC at all, don't boother. With the Indigo Xtreme your pea-size worries are history. Cheers, - jahman. I think a lot depends on contact but agree that the Indigo looks like a great product except for the throttling CPU issue, incompatibility with several popular cooling solutions. September 7, 201114 yr Never new about Indigo, here in India we only get a cooler master paste and not even Artic. I think even I should try for the Indigo Xtreme, but in the chart it is Artic Mx-2 and not Mx-4 . Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
September 8, 201114 yr Hmm you can also double check the heatsink and reseat it. Cesar Martinez AMD 7800X3D RTX5080 NZXT N7 B650E | G.Skill 32GB DDR5 Samsung 980 Pro 2TB | Crucial MX500 (2×) | Crucial P3 Plus Monitor: Philips Evnia 34M2C6500 QD-OLED
September 8, 201114 yr Never new about Indigo, here in India we only get a cooler master paste and not even Artic. I think even I should try for the Indigo Xtreme, but in the chart it is Artic Mx-2 and not Mx-4 . MX-4 out performs MX-2 by about .6 of a degree. So to deduce in loose terms, MX-4 would result in 70.86 in the test above.
