September 12, 201114 yr I have FSX crashing very often with enbr. Do you know if this product is moe stable ? Does it use the same files ? Thanks btw.. what scenery is that ? Looks photoreal... Seems rocks stable. No, it doesn't use d3d9.dll.I believe it only colors the shaders or whatever. No DLLs, nothing... only runs before FSX, then runs FSX, and reverts to original setting when FSX exits. On which basis, I don't get it.

Brzl, Shade is not a shader, it simply offers the user the ability to change/colorize the pixels pertinent to the shadow values within the sky textures. What about ground textures and aircraft model textures ?

Brzl, Shade is not a shader, it simply offers the user the ability to change/colorize the pixels pertinent to the shadow values within the sky textures. Thanks Tim!For the price, it was a no-brainer for me. I decided to just try it out, and trash it if it doesn't work. And I like it. So the only changes are to the sky colours ? What about ground textures and aircraft model textures ? No, it doesn't change the colors of the sky. It changes colors of the shadows, lighting and fog.Understand it like this: FSX light is a light source, like a bulb... and it can have different colors. You can make this bulb practically red if you want - does it make sense it's up to you. If you make this light darker, of course your general environment, and that implies VC, ground textures and all, are going to become darker. I like it since it gives me very similar effect like ENB, without the blurring/over-soft-picture ENB causes.
